Glaze Tests- Getting Somewhere

This photo shows my new Cone 6 copper blue glaze on the mug and the relief tile. My old ^04 glaze that I'm trying to match is the tile countertop. So far I think this is an excellent color match, but the surface is not what I wanted.







This glaze doesn't show up too well in the photo, but I think it's really cool. It's a totally unexpected result, which is even cooler.
It's a dark green where thin, with coppery crystals floating over it where it's thick. The teapot shown has a band of Opal Blue around the top.
I can't wait to try this on something more textured that will really bring out its character.
